This is a full-time job starting for the right person.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage budget, schedule, and workflow for internal and client projects, and potentially the studio as a whole
• Identify and neutralize potential risks to happiness, quality, or profitability
• Cultivate a positive and effective relationship with the client as primary point of contact
• Set team expectations to ensure high-quality work on time and within budget
• Help everyone stay motivated and focused
• Define and scope new projects
• Oversee studio-level forecasting, resourcing, and load balancing
• Contribute to the continual improvement of practices and processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Several years managing complex interactive design projects and budgets (enough time to make confident recommendations and judgment calls based on previous experience)
• A clear, direct communication style, with the capacity to read the room and adjust accordingly
• Deep understanding of the principles and methods of user-centered design
• Ability to identify priorities and shift focus between the big picture and the minutiae
• Ability to acknowledge and learn from mistakes
• Intellectual curiosity
