Our client is looking for a Creative Director (CD) to join their talented and growing team.  The Director will be responsible for defining the overall creative vision and driving the creative process across all accounts and projects.  Equally important, the ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of exceptional designers on a day-to-day basis and an interest in promoting their career development / professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Conceive and create compelling, experience-focused design solutions that fulfill strategic business objectives

  • Collaborates closely with UX and Technology disciplines in order to create innovative design, brand, and commerce experiences
  • Sets creative direction and strategic guidance throughout the duration of client projects
  • Generates useful, usable ideas across all existing and emerging digital platforms
  • Build, foster, and actively develop strong client relationships
  • Manages, trains and mentors the design group and is responsible for all hiring decisions
  • Leads by example and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, joy, excellence and accountability
  • Forecast department resourcing needs, manage project budgets and assess impact of project risks
  • Embrace a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional quality even under tight deadlines
  • Participate in new business opportunities and pitches

Requirements/Qualifications

 6+ years’ experience in a creative leadership role at least 4+ years doing so in a digital agency environment

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal and inter-departmental
  • Experience defining and managing the design process of both small and large interactive projects
  • Must possess hands-on design experience and a willingness to jump in trenches from time to time
  • Experience driving ideation and execution across various types of digital platforms, including: mobile/tablet, e-commerce, and social media
  • A strong working knowledge of interaction design, user-centered experience design, and information architecture
  • Solid time estimation, budget development, and short and long term resource planning skills
  • Able to be nimble and adapt to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
  • Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and provide timely and helpful feedback
  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities to ensure department and staff growth
  • Self-motivated, well organized, with solid time-management skills
